Introducing our Counselor in Training program! (CIT)

If your teen is interested in joining our epic adventures and they are looking for more responsibility, and leadership, the counselor in training program is just for them! 14 - 16+ year olds who have attended at least two camps before are welcome to join the CIT program at registration. If you have not attended camps before you are still welcome to join! Just have your child fill out a form regarding their interests and unique skills. Registration fee is waived from the regular enrollment since they are part help and part camper receiving opportunities and training that can be transferred nearly anywhere. A CIT will learn skills necessary to uphold and teach Leave No Trace, Wild Adventure Camp values, basic first aid and many survival skills as well as risk management and group management. CIT also gets to choose a subject area they are passionate about and lead activities, days and trips under guidance. This is a super cool opportunity to stay involved at camp, train for a paid position and grow skills in leadership, group management, outdoor skills and more! A great start for a teen interested in babysitting, working with people or the environment. You can also use CIT experience as volunteer requirement in school if it meets their criteria.
